Best Day of My Life So Far Social Posts

For about a year and a half, I was a volunteer designer for an organization that specializes in assisting the elders with participating in social activities with young people.

I was mainly the social media manager, while sometimes creating printable materials for special events. My relationship with Best Day lasted until November 2025, when the demands of my day job outweighed my capacity to continue to support Best Day’s mission.

One of the last major campaigns I worked on for Best Day was to create an identity for and promote their Pop-up Story Lounge series that Best Day wanted to host at various locations.

They were seeking to partner with local businesses (within Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey) to host special events were elderly people of the community could connect with younger folks, to share stories that are important to them.

I worked on some ideas for the text “Pop-Up Story Lounge” that would help it stand out in most social posts and other media. I experimented with different typefaces before I finally settled on the one shone in these posts and flyer.

I leaned heavily into the brand colors for Best Day to keep everything connected. The imagery is obviously stock photography, but I tried to choose scenes that weren’t too stiff or manufactured.

The background is lined paper, which felt appropriate since the stories that Best Day usually collects are from local senior living facilities, where they hold workshops for residents can share their lives on paper.

This campaign launched with a flyer and initial social media post, then was followed up over the course of a couple of months with reminder posts.

After the event, there were posts that included photographs from the event, which I arranged on Canva and into brief videos to share on social media.

Best Day of My Life So Far Social Post and Flyer for Their 15th Anniversary Celebration

Best Day wanted to have a celebration for their 15th anniversary. It was a campaign that began six months in advance, with preparing the schedule, theme, and content.

The main branding colors for Best Day include orange and yellow. I emphasized the orange in the posts and flyer for readability (although ADA accessibility was not tested.)

I created the grouping of the “15th Anniversary Celebration” as a sort of logo that was used on various related assets.

The flyer and social posts were created using Canva, which allowed me access to graphics I normally would not have had access to and it was easier to export and post to Best Day’s social media accounts.

The three slides with a white background were social media posts that were put together as a slideshow people could scroll through to see the details of the celebration.

International Ballet Exchange Social Media Posts and Flyer

I occasionally volunteer on Catchafire and offer design services to non-prorfits.

The International Ballet Exchange needed to have some posts made about an upcoming event they were hosting. They sent me a few images as well as the content they wanted on the posts and flyer.

I edited the images to be duo tone and used vibrant colors to help draw attention to the information.

The client wanted three different posts for Instagram and three posts for Facebook, so I had created six social posts total and a flyer that they printed.

Not all iterations of the posts are shown, but just Instagram and the printable flyer.

MicheleSpeaks Social Media Posts

When I worked at Premiere Brand, one of the in-house brands was for the co-founder, Michele Lawrence, who is a minister and public speaker. She also hosted a weekly radio show, where she had guests appear.

One of my responsibilities was to create the social media posts for her Instagram and Facebook accounts. The first image was the wallpaper for her Facebook account page.

The photos were provided by the other co-founder, who was also an amateur photographer.
